1.1 is an editing release, not a platform release
Comic Zap 1.0 already ships a usable photo comic studio. 1.1 is the issue that thickens the craft: the moves you repeat while directing a page.
Status: next release. Platform: macOS. It does not replace 1.0; it follows it.
Planned foundations
- Deeper undo and redo so a balloon move is not a one-way bet
- Guides for aligning panels, tails, and type
- Multi-selection for staging groups of elements
- Richer publishing on top of PDF, images, EPUB, and CBZ
- Faster canvas work and a more focused workspace
These items are the public 1.1 brief. Exact store notes will lock when the build ships.
What stays the same
- Local documents
- Your photos as the artwork
- No subscription
- No AI comic generation
If you need iPad or iPhone, that is 1.3, not 1.1.
Why this issue exists
Photo comics fail in the last 20 minutes of layout: a tail that misses, a caption that collides, a panel that should have been nudged. 1.1 is aimed at that last mile while keeping Comic Zap a Comic Life alternative rather than a prompt app.
